NOMA, the mixed-use neighbourhood in the heart of Manchester, has launched a long-term project to inspire a new generation of urban gardeners and bring more beneficial green spaces to the city.
‘PlantNOMA’ – the name of the new initiative, commits to making the environment even more vibrant and beautiful, evolving the fixed and formal planting into a garden of horticultural significance, engaging the local community and increasing biodiversity.
PlantNOMA is being delivered by the NOMA onsite creative team Standard Practice, who are collaborating with The National Trust, Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU) and The Prince’s Trust, as well as a host of community groups to deliver a programme of workshops, talks, projects and planting that explore horticulture through the widest possible lens.
