    Make Merry in the Yard is a warm and welcoming festive gathering in Sadler’s Yard, NOMA, bringing the community together for an lunch time of creativity and cheer to get you in the festive spirit.
    Enjoy live music throughout the event by the Besses Boys Brass Band while enjoying complimentary mulled wine and mince pies from Pot Kettle Black.
    Visitors can also take part in a hands-on, family-friendly lino-cut card making workshop-perfect for crafting something personal for the festive season.

    Together, we’ll explore how to find stories in the everyday, shape them in your own way, and share them so they connect. Come curious, leave seeing with fresh eyes.
    
    Who is it for
    It’s open to anyone curious about the small moments that make life meaningful. No experience needed, just an open mind and a notebook.

    Learn the fundamentals of machine knitting and make your own lambswool necktie in this beginner friendly workshop with Coyle Studio.
    
    Coyle Studio is an independent knitwear brand founded by Izzy Coyle. With a focus on craftsmanship and conscious design, each piece is created in her Manchester-based studio using deadstock or locally sourced yarns. Her practise is a celebration of colour, process, and thoughtful making.
    
    In the workshop we will cover: threading up the machine, casting on, knitting a row, adding in different colours, increasing + decreasing and casting off. We will then use all the skills you have just learnt to knit your own necktie in a colour of your choosing.
    
    You’ll leave with a portfolio of samples showcasing the skills you have learnt, a finished necktie ready to wear and the foundations of machine knitting to build on further.
    
    No need to bring anything with you - all equipment and materials will be provided. No previous knitting experience is required!

    Looking for a midweek boost? Lace up and join Eat The Frog for a relaxed 5k run weaving through the city streets. Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just getting started, this is a friendly, social run at a pace that works for everyone.
    
    After we cross the finish line, the evening doesn’t end there - we’ll head to the beautiful Altogether Otherwise garden to share a well-earned drink, unwind, and connect with fellow runners.
    
    It’s not about racing, it’s about moving, exploring the city together, and enjoying good company midweek.
