Read out loud from your writing practice (max. 10min) – prose, poetry, essay, memoir and everything in between – to a group of closely listening fellow dabblers in writing. Discuss your work and methods in an informal, friendly, supportive environment.

On Sunday 31st August, it’s all happening in Sadler’s Yard, and you’re invited.

This isn’t just any fête – it’s also a celebration of ten years of Sadler’s Yard, the hub of the neighbourhood, city’s first public square built in a hundred years, named by public vote after James Sadler, balloonist, chemist, pastry chef, and first man (with cat) to launch into the skies from this very neighbourhood.

In honour of this strange and brilliant legacy, expect:

• A VEGETABLE COMPETITION JUDGED

• COOKERY DEMOS

A yarn club guided by the cycles of the moon and seasons. Bring your knitting, crochet or sewing and a notebook to explore the gentle magic of crafting coupled with intention-setting. All levels welcome! Every other week at Altogether Otherwise.
