The King’s Trust Gardening Workshops
At NOMA, community and wellbeing go hand in hand. The King’s Trust, longstanding partner with PLANT Co-operative deliver monthly gardening workshops that bring unemployed young adults into the heart of our green spaces. These hands-on sessions offer practical horticultural training, build confidence, and provide a renewed sense of purpose.
Each session is a chance to connect with nature, build new skills, and nurture personal growth. Participants work across the beautiful NOMA gardens, engaging in a variety of seasonal activities. From preparing vibrant flower beds and learning the sustainable ‘no dig’ gardening technique, to planting hardy annuals and cultivating pollinator-friendly patches at Angel Square Garden.
These workshops are about more than gardening, they’re about growing confidence, fostering community, and planting seeds of possibility. Supported by The King’s Trust, young people discover the power of nature while exploring pathways into green careers.
Whether sowing sweet peas or planting the pocket park at 4 Angel Square, these sessions reflect NOMA’s year-round commitment to wellbeing, regeneration, and meaningful connection through nature.
