Ministry of Justice Weekly Gardening Programme
At NOMA, we believe in the transformative power of nature, not just for places, but for people. Through our partnership with the Ministry of Justice, Plant Cooperative will be hosting a weekly gardening programme for individuals on probation, supporting both rehabilitation and wellbeing through meaningful outdoor work.
Working in small groups over the course of their Community Giveback, participants gain hands-on experience in horticulture, develop new skills, and enjoy the physical and mental health benefits of regular time spent in green space. For many, itâs a step toward rebuilding confidence, accessing training opportunities, and imagining a different future.
This programme is a powerful reminder of how urban gardening can grow more than just plants; it can grow second chances. By opening up space for connection and skill-building, weâre helping to challenge stigma and support healthier, more inclusive communities here in the heart of the city.
