Breaking Barriers with Arts Emergency
At NOMA, we believe in creating inclusive spaces where young people can access the opportunities they deserve, especially in industries that can often feel out of reach. That’s why we are proud to be in collaboration with Arts Emergency, an award-winning mentoring charity that helps under-represented young people in Manchester to break down barriers to careers in the arts.
Our partnership began with a dynamic community workshop hosted at our community space – Altogether Otherwise, bringing together young creatives and cultural professionals for an inspiring session of learning and connection. Building on the this success, we are continuing to work closely with the charity having hosted their latest fundraiser in partnership with Julie Hesmondhalgh. There will be lots more planned throughout the year.
Arts Emergency’s mission to challenge ‘who-you-know’ networks aligns closely with NOMA’s own commitment to create a positive social impact in our community. We’re proud to support their work in opening doors and building futures.
