MACHINE KNITTING FUNDAMENTALS: KNIT A NECKTIE

With a focus on craftsmanship and conscious design, each piece is created in her Manchester-based studio using deadstock or locally sourced yarns. Her practise is a celebration of colour, process, and thoughtful making.
In the workshop we will cover: threading up the machine, casting on, knitting a row, adding in different colours, increasing + decreasing and casting off. We will then use all the skills you have just learnt to knit your own necktie in a colour of your choosing.
Youâll leave with a portfolio of samples showcasing the skills you have learnt, a finished necktie ready to wear and the foundations of machine knitting to build on further.
No need to bring anything with you - all equipment and materials will be provided. No previous knitting experience is required!
