This week we’ll be exploring the magical world of mosses with researcher, artist and lecturer Antony Hall. From creating soil to retaining water, mosses play a vital role in reclaiming space for life to thrive.
We’ll be investigating these micro-habitats out in the garden, looking at the ecosystems they support – from invertebrates like woodlice, slugs and beetles to pollinators and nesting birds – and how these spongy, hairy organisms provide food, shelter and building materials for a huge range of species.
