From creating soil to retaining water\, mosses play a vital role in reclaiming space for life to thrive. \nWe’ll be investigating these micro-habitats out in the garden\, looking at the ecosystems they support – from invertebrates like woodlice\, slugs and beetles to pollinators and nesting birds – and how these spongy\, hairy organisms provide food\, shelter and building materials for a huge range of species.
