SATURDAY SPRING FEAST!
NOMA is proud to host GRUB’s new monthly, city-centre market in Sadler’s Yard with the first Spring themed event being held this Saturday, 2nd April.
Each event will feature street food operators, fresh produce, arts & crafts stalls, craft beer from local breweries, activities and live music – but every month there will be a different theme for visitors to immerse themselves in. At this months’ Spring Feast, visitors can expect to purchase fresh flowers, take part in wellbeing workshops as well as get involved in guided gin tastings.
The market will be taking place within the newly opened Sadler’s Yard in the heart of the NOMA following the successful Christmas Food Fair.
The one thread running through all the events will be the focus on new, independent traders and artists. GRUB has a proud track record of supporting new street food traders and is now looking to extend this to small produce businesses as well as artists and crafters. All stall holders will be producers so visitors buying art can talk to the artist, and if buying street food the chef should be on hand. Every event will also be support by an original, commissioned piece from an illustrator, with plans for exhibitions to form part of future markets.
As this is a GRUB event there will be a strong element of food and drink; expect the usual high standard of carefully curated street food traders alongside beer from local breweries Marble Beers, The Runaway Brewery and Blackjack Brewery, plus locally produced handmade soda and freshly brewed artisan coffee.
The event will be free entry and will take place at Sadler’s Yard, NOMA, Hanover Street, Manchester, M60 0AB, 12-8pm. Further details of the event and all trader announcements can be found at the Facebook event page.
Jason Bailey, director of GRUB said “We started out trading at our amazing local market in Levenshulme nearly three years ago and with the opportunity they gave us we’re so happy to have grown to the point where we can put on events and offer support to provide those opportunities not only to other food traders but producers and artists too. Even more than that it’s an amazing location to bring together fantastic traders to give Manchester another cracking market.”
