The day’s line-up promises a range of home-grown acts from across the North West, covering everything from spoken word and jazz to surf rock and innovative gogo. Sadler’s Yard Summer Jam will be welcoming:

Main Stage – vinyl only DJ Ailsa McLaggan, Brunelle, Ry Vieira, Msfari Zawose, Beach Skulls, legendary Mancunian poetTony Walsh and Hot Shorts.

Acoustic Stage – Claire Victoria, Jennifer Reid, Jo Rose, Jess Kemp and Jack Conman.

PLANT NOMA – Free-wheeling throwing workshop with ceramicist Charlie Manthorp and interactive experimental gramophone session with artist Naomi Kashiwagi.

The Pilcrow – DJ sets from Pasta Paul, Josh Dodds and Better Days.

Food and drink certainly won’t be forgotten, with street food from Big Grillie Style, Que Delicia and Pietanic, plus sweet treats from ice cream sandwich pros Scoop Up, and community built pub The Pilcrow popping up an al-fresco bar with their modern seasonal beer.

On top of this, the first 300 people through the gate will receive a free sample of Manchester based Duerrs jam to make the day even sweeter.

Flanked by the city’s iconic CIS Tower and Victoria Station, Sadler’s Yard was named by the public as it opened in 2015, becoming the city’s newest public square since 1996. It’s since hosted a number of events, including street food markets and interactive Christmas workshops, and is home to The Pilcrow and new public workshop PLANT NOMA.

Alison Power, Event and Stakeholder Manager at NOMA, comments: “It was amazing for us to see the reaction to Sadler’s Yard Summer Jam 2016, and we’re looking forward to building on that with even more entertainment and our own special brand of activity this year. With such a range of stages and acts, it will be a brilliant day for the people of Manchester to look forward to, right in the heart of their city.”
